R. Michael Cross Design Group team was approached to design a simple addition to a complex craftsman-like home. While seeking to correct structural issues as well as expand a few interior spaces, the client emphasized a desire to maintain the simple and unique language of the neighborhood. To accomplish this, the architects added an open single volume off the rear of the home. The new space allowed for the accommodation of an unexpected third bedroom in the home without interfering with the client’s original scope of work.
